Delhi’s air is continuously becoming ‘toxic’, making it difficult to breathe. On Tuesday also, the Air Quality Index (AQI) crossed 300 in many areas of the country’s capital, which is the ‘very poor’ category of air pollution. AQI level 317 was recorded at 7 am today in Anand Vihar, Delhi. At the same time, the situation is almost the same in Wazirpur, where AQI level was recorded at 309. It is becoming difficult to breathe in the air in Central Delhi as well, AQI level 285 was recorded in Mandir Marg area this morning
According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the pollution situation may worsen in the next 72 hours. The AQI may reach the severe category. Cases of pollution-related diseases are increasing rapidly in Delhi. Meanwhile, patients are coming for treatment in the special pollution clinic running every Monday in the OPD building of Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital.
