Police bust Indian Bank cash scam in Firozabad, five arrested including cashier

The case of non-deposit of money in the accounts of customers of the Indian Bank branch in Jasrana, Firozabad came to light on March 21. After this, the Zonal Branch Manager of Agra, Tarun Vishnu and his team investigated the entire matter on the complaint of the bank account holders. In this case, on the complaint of Tarun Bishnoi, Head of Agra Zone of Indian Bank, Jasrana Police had registered a case on March 27, 2025 against the then branch manager Raghavendra Singh son of Rampal Singh Mainpuri and the then cashier of the branch Jayaprakash Singh son of Amar Singh, resident of Jasrana, for embezzling Rs 1,85,97,900 from the accounts of various customers while staying in the office.

SP Saurabh Dixit had formed two police teams under the leadership of Area Officer Jasrana to solve the case. On 31 March 2025, on the basis of solid evidence collected during the investigation, the police team arrested the cashier Jaiprakash Singh son of Amar Singh and other accused Akash Mishra son of Sahendra Mishra Jasrana district Firozabad, Veer Bahadur son of Om Prakash resident of Shivnagar Managepuri, Thekka Kumar son of Ferozepur resident of Firozabad.
