CHANDIGARH, JUNE 11 :
In order to achieve the “housing for all” commitment of the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, the Punjab Government on Friday approved the annual capacity building plan amounting to Rs 1050.9 lakh for the current fiscal 2021-22.
The approval was given at the 19th state-level sanctioning-cum-monitoring committee meeting, chaired by the Chief Secretary, Ms Vini Mahajan, here.
She also gave nod to the sale of 52 dwelling units (DUs) to the eligible beneficiaries in the state.
Reviewing the progress of grounding of beneficiary led construction (BLC) vertical, the Chief Secretary directed the Local Government department to further improve the grounding of BLC and coordinate with the Deputy Commissioners to expedite the process to complete the projects.
Principal Secretary Local Government, Ajoy Kumar Sinha, apprised the Chief Secretary that he had already sensitised the Deputy Commissioners in this regard and the state-level technical cell teams will be dispatched to the field to improve the grounding under BLC vertical.
The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary Housing and Urban Development Sarvjit Singh, Principal Secretary Finance KAP Sinha and PUDA Chief Administrative Malwinder Singh Jaggi.
