ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਮਾਰਕ ਕਾਰਨੀ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਮੰਡਲ ਦਾ ਗਠਨ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਕੀਤੇ ਮੰਤਰੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਈ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਅਤੇ ਦੋ ਦਰਜਨ ਨਵੇਂ ਚਿਹਰੇ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ

ਨਵੀਂ ਕੈਬਨਿਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁਲ 28 ਮੰਤਰੀ ਅਤੇ 10 ਰਾਜ ਸਕੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੌਂਹ ਚੁਕਾਈ ਗਈ ਹੈ । ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਚਿਹਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਸੈਨਿਕ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹਨ।

ਤੇ ਇਸ ਵਿਚ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਖੇਤਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਨਿਧਤਾ ਦਾ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਧਿਆਨ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਕਈ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਬਾਅਦ (ਸਾਬਆ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸਟੀਵਨ ਹਾਰਪਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ) ਕੁਝ ਸੰਸਦ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਜ ਮੰਤਰੀ (ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਸਕੱਤਰ) ਵਜੋਂ ਨਿਵਾਜਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।

ਸਰੀ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਤੋਂ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਚੌਥੀ ਵਾਰ ਚੁਣ ਕੇ ਆਏ ਜਲੰਧਰ ਨੇੜਲੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਸਰਾਏ ਖਾਸ ਦੇ ਪਿਛੋਕੜ ਵਾਲੇ ਰਣਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਰਾਏ (ਪਗੜੀਧਾਰੀ) (ਰਾਜ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਵਿਭਾਗ), ਬਰੈਂਪਟਨ ਤੋਂ ਚੁਣੇ ਗਏ ਮਨਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੱਧੂ ( ਕੌਮਾਂਤਰੀ ਵਪਾਰ ਵਿਭਾਗ) ਅਤੇ ਰੂਬੀ ਸਹੋਤਾ (ਰਾਜ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਜੁਰਮ ਰੋਕੂ ਵਿਭਾਗ) ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਕਰਕੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਦਾ ਮਾਣ ਵਧਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਸਾਬਕਾ ਵਿੱਤ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸਟੀਆ ਫਰੀਲੈਂਡ ਨੂੰ ਫਿਰ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਕਰਕੇ ਟਰਾਂਸਪੋਰਟ ਤੇ ਟਰੇਡ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਸੌਂਪਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਓਂਟਾਰੀਓ ਦੇ ਟਰਾਂਟੋ ਖੇਤਰ ਤੋਂ 12 ਸੰਸਦ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਮੰਡਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।

ਕੈਬਨਿਟ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਕੱਲ੍ਹ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।ਸੰਸਦ ਦਾ 26 ਮਈ ਨੂੰ  ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ , 27 ਮਈ ਨੂੰ ਕਿੰਗ ਚਾਰਲਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਦੇਣ ਨਾਲ ਆਰੰਭ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ।

Today, the Prime Minister, Mark Carney, announced the members of Canada’s new Ministry.

Canadians elected this new government with a strong mandate to define a new economic and security relationship with the United States, to build a stronger economy, to reduce the cost of living, and to keep our communities safe. This focused team will act on this mandate for change with urgency and determination.
