CICU pitched for providing workforce to Industry during meeting for employment generation / providing manpower headed by ADC (D) Ms. Amrit Singh.

Ludhiana , June 23 -CICU president Sh. Upkar Singh Ahuja attended the above mentioned meeting and highlighted that Industry is passing through crucial time and require manpower, skilled and unskilled as well and request the department to help industry in this hard time. There is shortage of approximately 6 Lac skilled and unskilled manpower. CICU provided data of employees required immediately by Industry like: Mig Welders, Press Man, CNC operator fitters, Painter, Electrician, Tailor, Overlock operator, flat operator etc.

Ms. Amrit Singh assured his full support to Industry to provide manpower. Data shared by Industry will be analyzed and manpower will be provided, she advise BDPO to collect data in villages for skilled and unskilled employees etc. so that they can be facilitate to work in factories.

Regarding self-employment she advised the lead banks to speed up loans for unemployed youths and also advised ITI for holding virtual job fairs from which Industry must make best use out of it.Sh. Pankaj Sharma mentioned that CICU has set a help desk to provide manpower to Industries & employment to youth.

Meeting was attended by Sh. Navdeep Singh (Deputy CEO, DBEE), Mr Rajan Sharma (Employment Officer), Ms. Minakshii Sharma, Ms. SS Rekhi (DIC Ludhiana), S. Baljinder Singh (Principal, ITI Ludhiana), Sh. MP Singh (Principal, SRS College).and Officers of various departments 

CICU President thanked local administration for their unprecedented support during lockdown and holding the meeting with Industries at the appropriate time.
