On the occasion of National Unity Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to the country’s first Deputy Prime Minister Sardar Patel. While participating in the program organized in Kevadia, Gujarat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi administered the oath of unity to the people on the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. PM Modi also participated in the National Unity Day Parade.

Earlier, the PM wrote in a post on the social media site X that I pay my salutations to Bharat Ratna Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his birth anniversary. Protecting the unity and sovereignty of the nation was the top priority of his life. His personality and deeds will continue to inspire every generation of the country.

Let us tell you that Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of various projects worth Rs 284 crore as well as tourist attractions during his visit to the iconic ‘Statue of Unity’ at Ekta Nagar in Gujarat’s Narmada district on Wednesday. After reaching Ekta Nagar, about 200 km from Ahmedabad, Modi inaugurated several new projects, including a sub-district hospital, smart bus stop, a four megawatt solar project and two ‘ICU-on-wheels’.
