Govt. New Guidelines & E-Register will hamper the arrival of Labour in the State

CICU President request Government to relax norms for factory workers as the industry is regularly following guidelines laid down by Govt. to operate factories.

Ludhiana, 7 july – The month of May & June Government sent workers paying train tickets to their hometown, now worker in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Jharkhand are in pathetic condition, they have left with no money and planning to return to work, on other hand, Govt. has issued guidelines that persons entered the State from other State expect by the city would be quarantined for 14 Days. In the light of the above, it would be very difficult for the industry to operate.

The industry has suffered huge losses during the lockdown, now its resuming work. Almost 40% labour is available. It is not viable to operate with less manpower. Although, only a few trains are operating, but industries are calling labour by sending buses.
