MP Sanjeev Arora Joins ‘Walk Against Drugs,’ asks all Punjabis to take oath

Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora participated in the ‘Walk Against Drugs’ (Yudh Nashian Virudh) here on Wednesday, supporting the Punjab government’s efforts to eradicate drug abuse.

On the occasion, interacting with the media persons, Arora praised the mass movement initiated under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, emphasising the urgent need for such a campaign. He attributed the state’s drug problem to the misguided policies of previous governments and stressed the importance of community participation in tackling the menace.

He urged every Punjabi to take a personal oath to stay away from drugs, noting that the ongoing crackdown has instilled fear among drug traffickers. “Let everyone become a part of this mission to make Punjab a drug-free state,” he said.

Arora expressed optimism that a successful campaign would lead to a more prosperous and economically stable Punjab. He reaffirmed that the drive would continue until the complete eradication of drug abuse.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab Incharge Manish Sisodia was also present on the occasion.
