Ludhiana, June 24: Under the “Chief Minister Scholarship Scheme” of the Punjab government, the intelligent students of first and second year for direct admission are getting benefitted to a large extent. This was stated by Deputy Commissioner Mr Varinder Sharma.
He said that under the Mission Fateh of the Punjab government, the Punjab government has started Chief Minister Scholarship Scheme for supporting intelligent students studying at Government Polytechnic Colleges. He said that all the students of Government Polytechnic Engineering Colleges are getting benefit of this scheme.
While providing information in this regard, he stated that the tuition fee of boys and girl students is waived off on the basis of their marks in class tenth. He said that 70% fee would be waived off of students scoring 60-70% marks, 80% of those scoring 70-80%, 90% of those scoring 80-90% and 100% fee is being waived off of students scoring between 90-100% in class tenth.
He said that the Government Polytechnic College in Rishi Nagar is the only girls college in district and maximum number of girls from both rural and urban areas should get benefitted from it. He said that the registration for the admission is underway.
He said that in view of COVID 19 pandemic, the admission forms are available on www.gpcgldh.ac.in.
