India registered a historic victory by an innings and 300 runs in the Test match against Afghanistan at the Maharaja Yadvinder Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur. This became India’s biggest innings victory in Test cricket. India declared the first innings at 564/8, in response to which Afghanistan were all out for 152 in the first innings and 112 in the second innings after the follow-on. Among the Indian bowlers, Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav and debutant Manav Suthar bowled brilliantly and did not give the Afghan batsmen a chance to settle. With this victory, the Indian team once again demonstrated its strength and dominance.
