The Neeraj Chopra Classic 2025 Javelin Throw Competition is being held at the Sri Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru on Saturday, which is a significant moment for Indian athletics.
The first NC Classic, which is set to be India’s first World Athletics Continental Tour Gold Level or World Athletics Category A event, will bring together a star-studded field led by Indian javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra, after whom the event is named.
Neeraj Chopra’s javelin throw event at the NC Classic 2025 will begin at 7:00 PM Indian Standard Time (IST) on Saturday and will be available to watch on live streaming and telecast in India.
Originally scheduled to take place in Panchkula in May, the event was shifted to Bengaluru due to floodlight problems at Tau Devi Lal Stadium – the original proposed venue. The event was also postponed to July 5 due to tensions across the India-Pakistan border.
Organised by Neeraj himself, JSW Sports in association with the Athletics Federation of India (AFI) and World Athletics, the NC Classic will showcase a stacked entry list, featuring top stars from across the globe.
