Kangana Ranaut: Bollywood’s fierce actress Kangana Ranaut not only worked hard for her film ‘Emergency’, but she also mortgaged her house to complete it. But the film on which she invested so much, failed miserably at the box office. After being postponed several times, the film was finally released, but the response from the audience was not as expected. Despite a big star cast and tremendous promotion, ‘Emergency’ could not survive at the box office.
According to reports, the total budget of ‘Emergency’ was Rs 60 crore. Kangana worked on this film for the last 3-4 years and called it her dream project. But when the film was released, its start at the box office was very cold.
So far, the film has done a business of around Rs 20 crore, which is not even a third of its cost. In such a situation, it seems impossible for the film to recover its budget.
Kangana Ranaut’s film career has been full of ups and downs for the last few years. Although she had high hopes for this film. She put her whole heart into playing the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. But her hard work could not bear fruit on the screen. She had even mortgaged her house to complete this film, but despite this, the film failed to reach the audience in the cinemas.
