The Women’s Under-19 T20 World Cup has started. The Indian team started with a win in its first match. Team India won the match against West Indies in a one-sided manner. In the match, India won the toss and decided to bowl first. Due to the deadly bowling of Praunika Sisodia, the West Indies team was bowled out for just 44 runs in 13.2 overs. In reply, India achieved the target in 4.2 overs with the loss of 1 wicket.

In the opening match of the Women’s Under-19 T20 World Cup 2025, the Indian team won the toss and decided to bowl first. Asabi Kalendra and Samara Ramnath came out to bat first for the West Indies. The West Indies did not have a good start. Indian bowler Jositha took two wickets in 2 consecutive balls.

Thus, the Indian team achieved the target of 45 runs set by the West Indies in just 4.2 overs. Defending champions India started with a victory by defeating the West Indies. India defeated the West Indies by 9 wickets.
