Patiala, September 19: The newly appointed Principal of Government Medical College, Patiala, Dr. Rajan Singla, Vice Principal Dr. Raminderpal Singh Sibia and newly appointed Medical Superintendent of Government Rajindra Hospital Dr. Harnam Singh Rekhi visited MCH building here to take stock of the isolation facility.

New team accompanied by Chest and TB specialist Dr. Vishal Chopra also visited ICU of COVID Ward and treatment facilities being provided there and discussed to further strengthen the facilities.

Dr. Singla said that to achieve the goals slated under Mission Fateh top contain the COVID pandemic, under the direction of Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh and Lok Sabha Member Mrs. Preneet Kaur, the Government Rajindra Hospital was committed to provide better treatment to the patients suffering from COVID. He further said to meet the expectations of the Medical Education and Research Minister Shri O P Soni and Principal Secretary D.K. Tewari, doctors and other paramedics from all departments of Rajindra Hospital will leave no stone unturned in taking care of COVID patients.

Dr. Singla said that today he met the senior doctors, senior and junior residents, nursing staff, ward attendants, ward cleaners etc. engaged in the service of the patients and interacted with them in detail to improve the existing facility further. He said that if any staff member was facing any problem, it would be resolved soon so that our front line Corona Warriors would not have any problem in caring for and treating the patients.

Medical Superintendent of Rajindra Hospital Dr. Harnam Singh Rekhi said that in view of the increasing number of COVID cases, doctors and other staff of all the departments of Rajindra Hospital were doing their duties in a professional and dedicated manner. He said that due to the coordination of all the departments, the recovery rate of the patients was increasing due to the treatment being given to the COVID patients. On this occasion, Dr. Prem Singla and other doctors were also present.
