The ongoing CJP protests in the national capital Delhi over the NEET paper leak case and the demand for the resignation of the Union Education Minister have now taken a major shape. The central government has tightened security arrangements to maintain law and order during the monsoon session of Parliament and prevent any untoward incident. Following the directions of the Home Ministry, 20 additional companies of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) are being airlifted to Delhi from West Bengal, comprising about 2,000 security personnel. Officials say that this decision has been taken in view of the tense situation and violent clashes at some places during the recent protests. Earlier, about 30 companies of CRPF and Rapid Action Force (RAF) have been deployed to help the Delhi Police. The administration says that this additional deployment of security forces has been done to maintain peace and order during the protests, continue the proceedings of Parliament without any disruption and ensure the safety of the common people.
