India has won its second gold medal in the Asian Games 2026. During the games being held in Nagoya, Japan, the Indian pair of Suruchi and Kamaljit secured first place by scoring 484.6 points in the final of the 10m air pistol mixed team event. Along with this, India won its first gold medal of this Asian Games in shooting. The Indian pair left the second-placed South Korean team behind by a margin of 6.6 points, while Iran won the bronze medal. Earlier, the Indian women’s cricket team had won the first gold medal of the Games. India’s excellent performance in shooting also continues and India won the silver medal in the 50m rifle three positions team event.
