The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the Indian team for the three-match T20I series against Zimbabwe later this month. In this team, young wicketkeeper-batsman Prabhsimran Singh from Punjab has got the opportunity to wear the jersey of Team India for the first time, which has caused a wave of joy among the cricket lovers of Punjab. Prabhsimran Singh had impressed the selectors with his batting and wicketkeeping while performing brilliantly for Punjab Kings in domestic cricket and IPL. This time, World Cup-winning wicketkeeper Sanju Samson has not been included in the team, while Prabhsimran has been given a chance in his place. Apart from this, fast bowler Mayank Yadav has returned to the team after a long time, while Yash Thakur and Ashok Sharma have also got a place in the national team for the first time. Shreyas Iyer has been given the captaincy of the team and Tilak Verma will be the vice-captain. All the three T20 matches between India and Zimbabwe will be played at the Harare Sports Club on July 23, 25 and 26.
