After winning the IPL 2026 title, Royal Challengers Bangalore has suffered another setback. The team’s batsman Tim David has been banned for one match for throwing an ice bag at umpire Nitin Menon during the final match. The IPL has also imposed a fine of 50 percent of the match fee on David and given two demerit points. Due to a total of five demerit points during the season, he will now not be able to play the first match of IPL 2027. David had made a significant contribution to RCB’s title campaign by scoring 305 runs in 16 matches this season.
