Prime Minister Modi awarded with the highest civilian honour ‘Order of Oman’ by Oman

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is currently on a foreign tour. He arrived in Oman as the last leg of his three-nation tour. After completing his visits to Jordan and Ethiopia, Prime Minister Modi arrived in Muscat, where he received Oman’s highest civilian honour.

It is not just an award, but also a symbol of the depth of relations between India and Oman. On Thursday, Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman conferred the Order of Oman on Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It is Oman’s most prestigious civilian honour. The honour was given for Prime Minister Modi’s contribution in strengthening ties between India and Oman. The award ceremony was held at Al Baraka Palace, where bilateral talks between the two leaders also took place.

29th name included in the list of foreign honours

The ‘Order of Oman’ is the 29th highest international civilian honour to be conferred on Prime Minister Modi. Earlier, he has received prestigious honours like the Grand Cross of Ethiopia and the Order of Mubarak Al-Kabir from Kuwait. This honour reflects the global recognition of Prime Minister Modi and India’s growing diplomatic influence.

Speaking on India-Oman relations, Prime Minister Modi said that education and space cooperation are further strengthening the ties between the two countries. He said that completing 50 years of Indian education in Oman is a great achievement and an important milestone in the relations between the two countries.
