One person injured in violence that broke out in Nagpur after Vishwa Hindu Parishad protested against removal of Aurangzeb’s tomb dies

Violence broke out in Nagpur on March 17 after a protest by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad demanding the removal of Aurangzeb’s tomb. On Saturday, the fifth day of the incident, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis held a press conference in Nagpur. He said that the damage caused by the violence would be compensated by selling the properties of the rioters. If necessary, bulldozers would also be used.

He said that the victims will be compensated for their losses soon. The strictest sections will be imposed against those who attack the police. On the opposition’s allegations, he said that the violence was not an intelligence failure or a political conspiracy.
Irfan Ansari, 40, who was injured in the Nagpur violence, died during treatment at 1:20 pm on Saturday. He was admitted to the Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGGMCH) since March 17. Welder Ansari left his home at around 11 pm on Monday night to catch a train to Itarsi from Nagpur railway station. Nagpur railway station is also one of the areas affected by the violence.
