PM Modi inaugurated Namo Bharat Corridor, travel from Delhi to Meerut will be easy

Prime Minister Modi today launched several development projects worth Rs 12,200 crore. During this, he also travelled in the Namo Bharat train between Sahibabad RRTS station and New Ashok Nagar RRTS station. Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the 13 km long stretch of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Namo Bharat Corridor between Sahibabad and New Ashok Nagar, built at a cost of about Rs 4,600 crore. With this, Delhi got its first Namo Bharat connectivity. This will make travel between Delhi and Meerut much easier. 

Journey from Sahibabad to New Ashok Nagar

Meanwhile, PM Modi travelled from Sahibabad to New Ashok Nagar. Passenger operations in this train will start from 5 pm on Sunday and trains will be available at an interval of 15 minutes. The fare from New Ashok Nagar station to Meerut South is Rs 150 for standard coach and Rs 225 for premium coach. Of the newly constructed 13 km section, six km is underground and it includes Anand Vihar, a major station of the corridor. Officials said that this is the first time that Namo Bharat trains will run on the underground section. With this inauguration, now the Namo Bharat train will reach Delhi.
