Restrictions on GRAP-4 will remain in effect in Delhi-NCR, the Supreme Court has also given the authorities a reward; Given these instructions
New Delhi:2 dec 2024
The Supreme Court has refused to relax restrictions in the fourth phase of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) in the national capital, Delhi. The court said on Monday that unless it sees a downward trend in the air quality index (AQI) level, group 4 will not be removed. According to the Central Pollution Control Board’s 7 am data, the air quality in Delhi fell to 273 in the ‘poor’ category on Monday.
The Supreme Court said it will hear all parties on December 5 on aspects of revising Group-IV restrictions. The court asked the CAQM (Commission for Air Quality Management) to inform all concerned authorities about measures to reduce air pollution.
