Punjab Police foils smuggling plot, two arrested, illegal weapons recovered

The Punjab police foiled a major smuggling plot in Amritsar with the arrest of two men and recovered four weapons, police said on Friday. The accused have been identified as Aditya Kapoor (Makhan) and Ravinder Singh. Police recovered four weapons from the possession of the accused, including a Glock pistol with 5 magazines and 14 rounds. According to preliminary investigation, the arrested accused Aditya Kapoor already has 12 criminal cases registered against him and was acting on the instructions of US-based criminals Balwinder S and Prabhdeep S and Portugal-based criminal Manpreet In a social media post on X, DGP Punjab Police wrote, “Giving a major blow to illegal arms smuggling network, Counter Intelligence, #Amritsar has arrested 2 persons Aditya Kapoor @ Makhan and Ravinder Singh. Preliminary investigation reveals that the arrested accused Aditya Kapoor has 12 criminal cases registered against him. He was working on the instructions of #USA-based criminals Balwinder S ,Donny Bal and Prabhdeep S.Prabh Dasuwal and Portugal-based criminal Manpreet S Mannu Ghanshampuria.
