FIR registered against 25 businessmen of Ludhiana, they were evading GST tax worth crores by filing wrong returns

Ludhiana police has registered a case against 25 businessmen on charges of GST tax theft. The accused used to evade GST tax worth crores of rupees by filing wrong GST returns. But when the department came to know about this, the returns of all the businessmen were put on radar. After which the department complained about it to the police. The police of Division Number Five police station has registered an FIR against Mukesh Kumar, Girdhari Lal, Arvindrpal Singh, Baljit Singh, Ashok Puri, Vitesh Vashisht, Randhir Singh, Surinder Sharma, Pritpal Singh, Chandra Bhushan Jain, Jai Kumar Singh, Satish Kumar, Manish Bansal, Rohit Kapoor, Jagrup Singh, Jaswant Roy, Vikas Kumar, Davinder Arora, Malkit Singh, Sagar Gupta, Gurcharan Das, Preet Singh, Jagmohan Singh, Kulwinder Singh and Anuj Arora. In the complaint given to the police, the GST department official said that all the above accused are doing different businesses. GST returns are filed by the accused every month. But the accused used to evade GST tax by showing less sales during returns. When the department investigated this, the names of 25 businessmen came to light. After which a case was registered against them. The investigation also revealed that the accused have defrauded crores of rupees in this manner.
