Trudeau recently announced a major cut in the number of temporary foreign workers, which triggered massive protests. Now Canada is further reducing the number of study permits for foreign students and workers. Justin Trudeau said his government will take action against “bad elements” who “abuse the immigration system and take advantage of students”. Canada has already given 35 percent fewer permits this year. Now Trudeau has announced a further 10 percent cut in 2025.
