CICU started a new series to boost the export of Ludhiana Industry

Upkar Singh Ahuja, President CICU & Sh. Sarvjit Singh, Co-Convener, CICU Export Promotion Committee stated that the Punjab industry is capable of making profitable and high-quality products and CICU has set up an Export helpdesk to guide the industry about how to start exporting and how to find international customers. CICU helpdesk will help the industry by providing all the necessary information to start an export business as there are a lot of opportunities available in global market.

The workshop on “Tapping International Buyers” was conducted by Ms. Swarn Dhiman (Director-Corporate Affairs CICU), she is having a good hand on foreign trade policy, Indian customs act 1962 and customs tariff act 1975.  She is a Commerce graduate, MBA in Marketing, Finance and also a post graduate in Human Resource Management.

During her session, she explained numerous aspects like Market Research, approaches to target the right market & products , analysis of the market & its unmet demand , Free Trade Agreements, Buyer’s background check, Strategies to Enter the Market, Pricing Strategy, Calculating Price (Cost + Freight + Insurance), Trade Promotion Bodies and other many other topics were also discussed.

The workshop was attended by more than 50 participants.
