GNDEC Alumni launch peer learning program

GENCO Alumni Association (GAA) of Guru Nanak Dev Engineeing College (GNDEC) Ludhiana has taken a unique initiative to fund the ‘Peer to Peer Learning Program’ for GNDEC students. In this program, bright students shall teach and guide their peers in various subjects to help them perform well in studies. It will also help the slow learners to learn better and achieve more at their own pace. Suitable honorarium will be given to the students who will mentor the needy students. President of GAA, Olympian Gurbir Singh Sandhu inaugurated the Felicitation Program to honour the PEER Leaders who are working hard to bring the best out of their peers. He called upon the bright students to come forward for this noble cause and assured them every help and mentorship from the alumni. Dr. Navdeep Asija, General Secretary and Er. Gurmeet Singh Brar, Secretary of GAA also graced the occasion and interacted with the students. Principal Sehijpal Singh shared that this project is being funded by the Alumni of 1995 batch, which they committed during the silver jubilee celebration function of their batch. Er. Harinder Singh and Er. M.S Hans, both 1995 batch alumni, disbursed the due honrarium to the PEER leaders and promised the students to fund this program every semester. Mr. Harsimranjit Singh, a second-year student, compered the proceedings of the event under the guidance of Dr. Rajvir Kaur from Applied Sciences Dept. The students showed great enthusiasm and happiness over this gesture of GAA.
