Mr. Dinesh Kumar, a teacher of Government Victoria Girls Senior Secondary School, Patiala, has brought laurels to Punjab by winning the prestigious National Teachers Award 2026 for his exemplary contribution in the field of education. This is one of the highest honors for teachers in the country, which is presented by the President every year on the occasion of Teachers’ Day. Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains congratulated Dinesh Kumar and termed this achievement as a testament to the quality education and hard work of teachers in government schools of Punjab. He said that this award will not only boost the morale of the entire teaching community but will also inspire other teachers to perform better.
