The head of Dera Sachkhand Ballan in Jalandhar, Sant Niranjan Das has been awarded the Padma Shri award for his special contribution in the field of spirituality and social service. President Droupadi Murmu presented this award in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. On this occasion, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann also congratulated Sant Niranjan Das and termed it a proud achievement for the entire Punjab. It is believed that this award will further strengthen the spirit of the Ravidasiya community and the work being done for social service and the welfare of humanity will get a new identity.
