The ‘Kakroch Janata Party’, formed in protest against Chief Justice Surya Kant’s statement on cockroaches, has become the center of discussion on social media. Formed just six days ago, the party had more than 14 million followers on Instagram, which is more than many major political parties in the country. Along with this, the party also had more than 19.3 million followers on X (formerly Twitter). However, the party’s X account was blocked at around 12 noon on Thursday. Party founder Abhijit Deepke called it an attack on freedom of expression, while X said that this action was taken on the basis of local laws of India, court orders or legal complaints.
