The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has strongly criticised the airline in its investigation report on the massive disruptions to IndiGo flights during the first week of December 2025. According to the report, thousands of flights were cancelled or delayed due to serious lapses in roster and operational planning, affecting over three lakh passengers. In this case, the DGCA has imposed a fine of Rs 22.20 crore on IndiGo and ordered it to provide a bank guarantee of Rs 50 crore till full compliance with the rules.
