Ludhiana, 29 August 2025 – The United Cycle and Parts Manufacturers Association (UCPMA) held its elections on Friday, with results officially declared after transparent vote counting in the presence of observers.
In a keenly contested election, the following candidates emerged victorious:
- President: Harsimranjit Singh Lucky secured 897 votes, defeating D.S. Chawla, who got 745 votes.
- Senior Vice President: Jaswinder Singh Thukral won with 937 votes against Avtar Singh Bhogal(693 votes).
- Vice President: Inderjit Singh Navyug triumphed with 906 votes, defeating Rohit Raheja (724 votes).
- General Secretary: Varun Kapoor bagged 878 votes, defeating Rajiv Jain (747 votes).
- Secretary: Rajinder Singh Sarhali emerged winner with 883 votes over Varun Agarwal (751 votes).
- Joint Secretary: Sonu Makkar Nazz won with 898 votes, defeating Vicky Durg (738 votes).
- Propaganda Secretary: Manoj Dua took the position with 820 votes against Mandeep Singh (778 votes).
- Finance Secretary: Satnam Singh Makkar secured victory with 833 votes, defeating Gaurav Goel (793 votes).
The election process was concluded smoothly, with the counting procedure validated by the signatures of officials and observers present.
The newly elected team is expected to steer UCPMA towards addressing industry challenges and fostering growth for the cycle and parts manufacturing sector in Punjab.
