Newspunjab,7 march 2025

Taking a significant step to empower the industrial community of Ludhiana and bring government services closer to the people, Punjab Small Industries and Export Corporation (PSIEC) successfully organized a camp at the Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings (CICU) Focal Point Complex. The camp was a part of the Punjab Government’s “Sarkar Aap Ke Duaar” scheme, which seeks to provide citizens with greater access to essential services without having to travel to the state capital Chandigarh.

The camp saw active participation of local industrialists and entrepreneurs, who were provided assistance on a range of issues. The dedicated team was led by Ms. Rajdeep Kaur, Estate Officer, PSIEC Chandigarh, supported by Mr. Tony Bansal, Mr. Manmohan Singh and Mr. Varinder Cheema. The team demonstrated impressive efficiency, successfully addressing and resolving over 25 issues during the event, many of which were resolved on the spot. This efficient management of issues highlights the positive impact of the “Sarkar Aapke Duaar” initiative in improving access to essential government services for businesses and industrialists in Ludhiana.

CICU President Mr. Upkar Singh Ahuja expressed his appreciation for the continuous support being extended to the industrial sector by the Punjab Government. He stressed on the importance of the “Sarkar Apne Dwar” scheme as it will reduce the logistical burden on the entrepreneurs who earlier had to travel to Chandigarh for government services. Mr. Ahuja expressed gratitude for the one-time settlement policy, terming it as an important step in enabling the industrialists to pay their dues and streamline their operations. He also thanked the valuable contribution of MP Sanjeev Arora, whose tireless efforts have played a significant role in making this scheme a reality for the industrialists of the region.

“Timely implementation of policies is essential for the smooth development of industries in Ludhiana,” said Mr. Ahuja. “We appreciate the government’s efforts to support the local business community and urge for continued speedy policy rollout, which will enable industries to grow without any hindrance.”

The camp was a testament to the collaboration between PSIEC and CICU, further strengthening the ties between the government and Ludhiana’s vibrant industrial community. It also highlighted the government’s commitment to creating a more efficient and supportive ecosystem for local businesses, enhancing the ease of doing business and promoting a conducive environment for growth and development in the region.

Apart from the positive response from entrepreneurs, the camp has paved the way for future initiatives aimed at enhancing the industrial climate in Ludhiana. With services now more accessible to entrepreneurs at the grassroots level, businesses can operate more smoothly, making it easier for industries to thrive.
