Ludhiana, August 28, 2025:
The United Cycle & Parts Manufacturers Association (UCPMA) led by President Harsimerjit Singh today met Industries Minister Sh. Sanjeev Arora and submitted a memorandum seeking a permanent solution to the mixed-land-use problem troubling Ludhiana’s industries for over 15 years.
The memorandum highlighted the hardships faced by MSMEs due to repeated extensions, litigation, and lack of clarity in land-use policies. UCPMA demanded a time-bound regularisation of mixed-use belts and the creation of a modern industrial estate for relocation and expansion.
Cabinet Minister Sanjeev Arora assured the delegation that the Punjab Government will give a permanent solution to this long-pending issue.
