Threats to blow up five schools in Delhi through email, creating panic among parents…. Investigation underway

 Two prominent schools in Delhi – St. Thomas School in Dwarka and Vasant Valley School in Vasant Kunj – received bomb threats via email on Wednesday (July 16) morning. The alarming message warned of explosives being placed in the school premises, causing immediate panic among staff, students and parents.

Besides, Mother’s International School in Hauz Khas, Richmond Global School in West Vihar and Sardar Patel Vidyalaya in Lodhi Estate received bomb threats via email this morning. Delhi Police said that in the last three days, about 10 schools and one college have received bomb threats. 

After a bomb threat, Vasant Valley School was closed, and students were sent home as a precaution.

Upon receiving the threat, school authorities immediately alerted law enforcement. Delhi Police quickly deployed bomb squads, dog squads and cyber experts at both locations. As a precautionary measure, both schools were evacuated to ensure the safety of students and staff.

Security teams conducted a thorough search of both campuses. So far, no explosives have been found, and an investigation is underway to determine the source of the threatening email.
