Ludhiana, July 1 – In an election held with unanimous consent by the Auto Parts Manufacturers Association (India), Mr. Gurpreet Singh Kahlon, a member of the MSME Board and head of IPFC, was elected as the new President.
Alongside him, the following office-bearers were also elected:
- General Secretary – Mr. Daljit Singh
- Finance Secretary – Mr. Sohan Singh
- Senior Vice President – Mr. J.M. Sharma
- Joint Secretary – Mr. Balwinder Singh (MKC)
The current president, Mr. Gurpragat Singh Kahlon, was unanimously elected as Chairman.
The announcement of the new team was made by Presiding Officers Dr. Sanjeev Katoch, GM, IAHT Ludhiana, and Mr. Inderjit Singh of Navyug, who stated that since no other nominations were submitted for these posts, the mentioned team has been unanimously declared as the office-bearers for a five-year term.
The chief guest at the event, Mr. Kulwant Singh Sidhu, MLA of Atam Nagar constituency, Ludhiana, congratulated the newly elected office-bearers and assured them of his continued support in addressing the challenges faced by the auto parts industry.
Newly elected President Mr. Gurpreet Singh thanked all members and stated that his mission is to uplift and strengthen the auto parts industry. His vision is to ensure that the entire industry works together, grows together, and helps the nation prosper as before. His first step will be to identify and activate the central and state government policies so that the industry can benefit from government schemes.
He further emphasized that he will continue to take initiatives for the growth of the industry, with a strong focus on innovation. He plans to collaborate with IPFC projects and offer design-related support to association members. He aims to work collectively with all stakeholders to take the industry to new heights. While results may not come instantly, he assured that they will certainly be positive and impactful.
