Terrorist plot foiled in Amritsar, RDX recovered from border: 2 hand grenades, detonator and pistol also found

Amid the ongoing tension on the Indo-Pak border, the Border Security Force (BSF) and Amritsar Rural Police have foiled a terror plot in Amritsar. A large quantity of RDX and hand grenades sent across the Indian border via drones have been seized.
The operation was carried out at 11 am on Sunday near village Chak Bala (Ajnala police station) after receiving important information from the villagers. DGP Gaurav Yadav has confirmed this. It was informed that in this serious case, an FIR has been registered under the Explosive Substances Act, Arms Act and Aircraft Act.44
Police say this attempted arms smuggling was carried out from across the border, which could have been aimed at carrying out terrorist activities in Punjab.
The team recovered a large cache of weapons and explosives from the fields, including:
972 grams of RDX (explosive substance), two hand grenades, two detonators, a remote control device and charger, command mechanism, 8 batteries, a black box, two 30 bore pistols and four magazines, 30 live cartridges
Punjab Police has said that it is committed to the safety of its citizens and will continue to work with full force to maintain law and order by combating every threat coming from across the border.
