CICU Organized Grand Finale of S. Angad Singh Memorial – 10th CICU Corporate T-20 Cricket Tournament 2024-25

Ludhiana – The Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings (CICU) successfully organized the grand finale of the S. Angad Singh Memorial – 10th CICU Corporate T-20 Cricket Tournament 2024-25 at GRD Academy, Hambran Road, Ludhiana. The thrilling final match was contested between CICU and Ganga Acrowools.

In an exciting and vibrant event, CICU clinched victory by 41 runs. Star all-rounder Mr. Harmanpreet Singh delivered an outstanding performance, scoring 45 runs (with 6 fours and 1 six) and was declared both Man of the Match and Man of the Series.

S. Kulwant Singh Sidhu, Hon’ble MLA of Atam Nagar, Ludhiana, honored the event as Chief Guest and distributed trophies to the Winners, Runners-up, Man of the Match, Man of the Series, and all participating players. Special recognition was given to Mr. Gautam Malhotra, Captain of Team CICU and Mr. Hemant Yadav, Captain of Team Ganga Acrowools.

Addressing the gathering, Sh. Upkar Singh Ahuja, President CICU, welcomed all teams and cricket enthusiasts. He emphasized that cricket has become a unifying sport across India and expressed pride in hosting the 10th edition of the Corporate T-20 Cricket Tournament. Highlighting the benefits of cricket, he noted how the sport develops social skills, intellectual abilities, creativity, and a disciplined attitude. He personally visited the ground to motivate and encourage the players, applauding their sportsmanship and competitive spirit.

Sh. Honey Sethi, General Secretary CICU and a passionate cricket enthusiast, shared his excitement about the energy and enthusiasm seen among Ludhiana’s cricket fans, especially the youth. He also showcased his love for the game by playing the third ball of the first over and engaged players in discussions on best cricket practices. He extended his gratitude to the team managers, players, and sponsors for their enthusiastic participation and valuable support.

CICU also acknowledged the outstanding efforts of the Tournament Organizing Committee, including Sh. Gautam Malhotra, Vice President CICU, Sh. Sarvjit Singh, Vice President CICU, Sh.
