The management of Shri Durga Mata Mandir (BRS Nagar), including Chairman Ramesh Jagota, President Sunil Sharda, General Secretary Harkesh Gupta and other office bearers, have unanimously announced their support to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Sanjeev Arora, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) in the by-election to be held for Ludhiana (West) Assembly constituency.

The announcement was made on Thursday during Arora’s temple visit, during which his wife Sandhya Arora also accompanied him. Arora sought blessings of Goddess Durga and also performed havan at the Baglamukhi temple.

Speaking on the occasion, Ramesh Jagota appreciated Arora’s selfless service to the society and dedicated efforts as an MP for the overall development of Ludhiana. He highlighted Arora’s strong social and religious commitments and said that he is probably the first industrialist to contest for the MLA seat from Ludhiana (West). Jagota stressed that the voters of the constituency have high expectations from Arora.

In his address, Arora mentioned his major achievements as an MP in the last three years and reiterated that his campaign is built on the foundation of development. He shared his vision for progress with the people present and assured the temple management committee that he would arrange a meeting with the Ludhiana Improvement Trust officials and the Deputy Commissioner to resolve the 45-year-old pending issue of temple land registry.

Arora appealed to the public to support Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s mission to eradicate drugs from the state, emphasizing the need for a drug-free Punjab to secure a better future for the youth.

Municipal Councilor Amrit Varsha Rampal, who was present, expressed confidence in Arora’s leadership, saying that he would transform Ludhiana (West) into “Ludhiana Best” after his victory. Arora has already promised to develop Ludhiana as a “model city” after winning the election.
