Child who threatened to bomb 400 schools in Delhi caught, NGO-political party and Afzal Guru’s connection exposed

New Delhi:14 jan 2025

Delhi Police made major revelations on Tuesday in the case of fake bomb threats in Delhi schools. Recently, about 400 schools in Delhi were given bomb threats through email and phone. During a thorough search, no suspicious item was found in any of the schools. However, such fake bomb threats were affecting studies. Many times exams had to be canceled due to bomb threats in schools. Now Delhi Police has found in its investigation that 400 such emails were sent from the laptop of a class 12 student. The police found in their investigation that the father of this student is associated with an NGO. This NGO had once opposed the hanging of terrorist Afzal Guru. This NGO is also associated with a political party. The police have also talked about the use of dark web and VPN in this case.

Delhi Police Special CP (Law and Order) Madhur Tiwari has made several important revelations in a press conference on Monday regarding the bomb threat case in Delhi schools. According to the Delhi Police Special CP, Delhi schools were continuously receiving bomb threats through emails. Such mails were coming continuously since February 14, 2024. Due to these threats, exams had to be canceled in schools many times. Therefore, we have started an in-depth investigation into this matter. However, no major lead was being received due to VPN. Our officers were continuously trying.

A big lead was received from the last mail sent on January 8, 2025.

Special CP Madhur Tiwari said, “The last call regarding bomb threat in schools came on January 8, 2025. From this mail, we identified the student from whose laptop all the mails were sent, we started investigation from the angle of anti-national and terrorist groups as these emails were being sent using very modern technology.”

The police officer said, “A forensic examination was conducted on the suspect student’s laptop. It was revealed that more than 400 emails were sent from the student’s laptop. We were suspicious as to how the child could have done this. “So we started further investigation and found out about an NGO.”
