China reached the final after defeating Malaysia in the Asian Women’s Hockey Champions Trophy

In the semi-final played on Tuesday in the Asian Women’s Hockey Champions Trophy, China defeated Malaysia 3-1 and made it to the final. In the first semi-final match played here today in Rajgir, Bihar, China gave their team the lead with Deng Qichan scoring the first goal in the tenth minute of the first quarter. In the second quarter as well, China maintained its dominance and scored two goals one after the other to take a huge 3-0 lead over Malaysia.
The second goal was scored by China’s Fan Yunjia in the 17th minute while the third goal was scored by Tan Jinzhang in the 23rd minute. In the third quarter, Khairunnisa of Malaysia scored the first goal for Malaysia to reduce this lead. However, no team could score after this and China won the match by three goals. India will face Japan in the second semi-final. Earlier today, in the match played between Korea and Thailand for the fifth and sixth place, Korea won the fifth place by defeating Thailand 3-0. While Thailand finished last in the tournament.
