Cyclone ‘Dana’ is coming to wreak havoc, Odisha and Bengal on high alert; These states will also be affected

Cyclonic storm ‘Dana’ is expected to hit the coasts of North Odisha and West Bengal between Puri and Sagar Islands on October 24. The low pressure area developed over the east-central Bay of Bengal and adjoining North Andaman Sea may intensify by the morning of October 22.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said, “Moving northwestwards, it may cross the coasts of North Odisha and West Bengal between Puri and Sagar Island on the night of October 24 and the morning of October 25 as a severe cyclonic storm. Due to this, the wind speed can be from 100 to 110 km per hour to 120 km per hour.
The IMD has also issued a red alert, predicting heavy rains of more than 20 cm at isolated places in Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Cuttack districts on October 24
