CEC releases by-election program for four assembly seats, know full details

Bypolls to four assembly seats in Punjab: Elections to four assembly seats in Punjab were announced by the EC a few days ago. After which every party has become heavy to put its full force on these four seats. Now Chief Election Officer of Punjab Sibin C has said that Election Commission of India has released the by-election program for four constituencies of Punjab 10-Dera Baba Nanak, 44-Chabbewal (SC), 84-Giddarbaha and 103-Barnala.

Giving more information, Sibin C said that the gazette notification for the elections will be issued on October 18, 2024 and the process of filling nominations will begin. He said that the last date for filing nominations will be October 25 and the scrutiny of nomination papers will be done on October 28. Apart from this, the last date for withdrawal of nomination papers will be October 30.

Sibin C said that the polls will be held on November 13 and the results will be announced on November 23 after the counting of votes. The last date for completion of the by-election is 25 November. He said that the voting time will be from 7 am to 6 pm.
