Eye opening panel discussion held at 6th World Class Manufacturing organised by CICU Ludhiana at Park Plaza
Mr. Upkar Singh Ahuja, CMD, New Swan Group & President – CICU as keynote Speaker shared their experience about how to become World Class Manufacturing. He described the simple meaning of World Class Manufacturing is costumers should be feel happy to buying from you, transparency, good culture, employees should happy to work and more important is to maintain Costumer’s faith and timely delivery of the products. He also shared that the Owner should be given to atleast 10% or 20% for innovations and always keeps learning.He also highlighted that CICU is going to setup a Center of Excellence to help the industry to develop new products through reverse engineering.

Sh. Anil Sikka – Expert Partner, Greater China – McKinsey gave a presentation on becoming a World Class Company with digital transformation and discussed the difficulties being faced by the industry to grow gradually and also shared some tips to improve working of the companies by adopting digital transformation, low cost automation and industry 4.0. He also shared 7 success factors to achieve digital transformation at scale to get maximum benefits. He said that this is a golden opportunity for Indian Industry to grow and grab the business from global market.
Sh. Jaswinder Singh Bhogal, Vice President – Farmparts Company (A Unit of Uniparts Group) & Publicity Secretary – CICU moderate the event and shared shared their thoughts about operational excellence & order fulfillment process and advance mythology & system of World Class Manufacturing. He said that the team works is the main pinpoint for become World Class Manufacturer and Kaizens are key to grow your company and revenues. The industry should adopt compliances as it is need of the hour.

Sh. Sushil Kumar Agrawal – Business Consultant – Agrawal & Associates shared that he is the one of the first person who brought lean manufacturing in the companies. He said that now days the biggest problem is implementation of improvements in MSMEs. He also said that MSMEs should focus on the Quality of the products, which leads the companies to the new heights.
Sh. Vishav Bandhu, Joint Director – Deptt. of Industries & Commerce, Govt. of Punjab shared that Govt. is working to improve the industrial policies. Punjab Govt. added 404 new services to the industry at invest Punjab portal as in 2013 there were only 13 services. Punjab industry is leading in Lean manufacturing and ZED implementation. Govt. will give higher incentives to the industry who adopted industry 4.0. The govt. is totally focusing on ease of doing business. He also requested to use govt. portal to get benefits of the services offered by the Punjab Govt.
