Vikramjit Singh Sahni Member of Rajya Sabha announced 1 crore for the upgradation of ITI Ludhiana

 Sh. Vikramjit Singh Sahney, Honorable Member of the Parliament at the Rajya Sabha, interacted with Industrial associations at ITI Ludhiana in the presence of Sh. D.P.S. Kharbanda IAS Director Technical Education Government of Punjab.

S. Charanjit Singh Vishwakarma Chairman ITI Ludhiana welcomed Sh. Vikramjit Singh Sahney and put forward the needs of Ludhiana’s industry, and highlighted where the ITI Lacks, he said we must work together to make this ITI the Model ITI of Punjab.

S. Manjinder Singh Sachdeva Senior Vice President FICO & General Secretary UCPMA, suggested that the Government of India to collaborate with the Japan and Germany to enhance the skills of the tutors, so that they could teach the latest skills to the students. He further said that Today Not only mechanicals but electricals have improved so much that the industry don’t have the skill to repair the PCB of the Electric Motors. more over industry needs thoroughly skilled persons for MIG, TIG and Laser Welding, aluminum welding. Provided these skills industry will ensure job security.

After a patient listening to the needs of the industry, Sh. Vikramjit Singh Sahney, Honorable Member of the Parliament at the Rajya Sabha said that the ITI Ludhiana will be upgraded to the World Class Multi Skill Development Centre, that too as per the requirements of the industry. He initially issued a grant of 1 Crore for the same. he said today’s prime concern is that Student’s of Punjab are seeing their future in Canada and other countries. He said that it is their aim to provide such facility in Ludhiana so that our students can get his worth here itself. He said this Multi Skill Development center will act as a bridge between students and industry and ensure at least 5000 jobs per year.
