Indian women’s cricket team’s young left-arm spinner Sree Charni has created history with her stellar performance. The 21-year-old bowler, who made her international debut just a year ago, has now become the world’s number-one bowler in the ICC Women’s T20 International Bowling Rankings. Taking 10 wickets in three matches in the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, she impressed everyone with her killer bowling and overtook England’s Linsey Smith to claim the top spot. Sree Charni, who hails from Andhra Pradesh, has so far taken 38 wickets in 23 T20 Internationals for India. Her achievement is being considered a proud moment for Indian women’s cricket.
