During Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to India, both countries took a major decision to boost tourism. Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced in a joint press conference that India will soon issue 30-day free e-tourist visas and group tourist visas to Russian citizens. This will give a major boost to the movement of people and the tourism sector between the two countries. The e-tourist visa is a completely online process, which allows travelers to get travel authorization quickly without visiting any office. This move is expected to increase the number of Russian tourists in India.
Expressing happiness over this decision, Prime Minister Modi said that it is very important for the movement of people between the two countries. He said that two agreements have also been signed in this regard. This decision will further deepen the strong relations between India and Russia, especially in the field of tourism and trade.
