The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has caught Harcharan Singh Bhullar, DIG of Ropar range in Punjab, red-handed while accepting a bribe. He had demanded a bribe of Rs 5 lakh from a scrap dealer in Mandi Gobindgarh. The dealer lodged a complaint with the CBI, and later the CBI laid a trap.

On Thursday, the businessman arrived with the money from his office in Mohali. The team arrested Bhullar from there. The CBI team, along with the office, has now reached his house in Sector 40, Chandigarh, where the investigation is ongoing. Bhullar is expected to appear in the CBI special court in Chandigarh tomorrow.
