ਨਵੀਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ 17 ਸਤੰਬਰ 2025 – ਭਾਰਤ-ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਵਪਾਰ ਸੌਦਾ: ਵਣਜ ਮੰਤਰਾਲੇ ਨੇ ਮੰਗਲਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਭਾਰਤ ਅਤੇ ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਤਾਵਿਤ ਦੁਵੱਲੇ ਵਪਾਰ ਸਮਝੌਤੇ ‘ਤੇ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਸਕਾਰਾਤਮਕ ਅਤੇ ਭਵਿੱਖਮੁਖੀ ਸੀ। ਮੰਤਰਾਲੇ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਦੋਵਾਂ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਸੀ ਲਾਭਕਾਰੀ ਸਮਝੌਤੇ ਨੂੰ ਜਲਦੀ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਯਤਨ ਤੇਜ਼ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਵਣਜ ਮੰਤਰਾਲੇ ਨੇ ਮੰਗਲਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਵਾਰਤਾਕਾਰ ਬ੍ਰੈਂਡਨ ਲਿੰਚ ਨਾਲ ਭਾਰਤ-ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਦੁਵੱਲੇ ਵਪਾਰ ਸਮਝੌਤੇ ‘ਤੇ ਚਰਚਾ ਸਕਾਰਾਤਮਕ ਅਤੇ ਭਵਿੱਖਮੁਖੀ ਸੀ। ਮੰਤਰਾਲੇ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਜਾਰੀ ਇੱਕ ਬਿਆਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਹਾ ਗਿਆ ਕਿ ਦੋਵਾਂ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਮਝੌਤੇ ਨੂੰ ਜਲਦੀ ਤੋਂ ਜਲਦੀ ਅੰਤਿਮ ਰੂਪ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਯਤਨ ਤੇਜ਼ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਇਹ ਦੋਵਾਂ ਲਈ ਲਾਭਦਾਇਕ ਹੋਵੇ।
ਭਾਰਤ ਵੱਲੋਂ, ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਵਣਜ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਰਾਜੇਸ਼ ਅਗਰਵਾਲ ਨੇ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ, ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਟੀਮ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਬ੍ਰੈਂਡਨ ਲਿੰਚ ਨੇ ਕੀਤੀ, ਜੋ ਦੱਖਣੀ ਅਤੇ ਮੱਧ ਏਸ਼ੀਆ ਮਾਮਲਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਵਪਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਨਿਧੀ ਹਨ। ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਵਫ਼ਦ ਸੋਮਵਾਰ ਸ਼ਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਨਵੀਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਮੰਗਲਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਦਿਨ ਭਾਰਤ-ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਵਪਾਰਕ ਸਬੰਧਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਸਤਾਵਿਤ ਸਮਝੌਤੇ ‘ਤੇ ਚਰਚਾ ਕੀਤੀ।

Statement on visit of team led by Assistant US Trade Representative to India
A team of officials from the office of United States Trade Representative led by Chief Negotiator, India US Bilateral Trade Agreement negotiations Mr.Brendan Lynch visited India on September 16, 2025. They held discussions with officials from Department of Commerce, led by Special Secretary, Department of Commerce on India-US trade ties including on the India-US Bilateral Trade Agreement.
Acknowledging the enduring importance of bilateral trade between India and the U.S., the discussions were positive and forward looking covering various aspects of the trade deal. It was decided to intensify efforts to achieve early conclusion of a mutually beneficial Trade Agreement.
