   District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner Moga Shri Sagar Setia, exercising the powers conferred under the Indian Civil Protection Act, 2023, has completely banned the sale, storage and use of synthetic/plastic doors (China doors) in Moga district.

District Magistrate Mr. Sagar Setia said that a large number of kites are often flown in Moga district and China wire is used in large quantities for these kites, which is made of synthetic/plastic and is very strong, due to which incidents of cutting the hands and fingers of kite flyers, cutting the neck and ears of bicycle and scooter motor cycle drivers and in such a situation there is also a fear of accidents. Apart from this, the environment is also polluted due to the death of birds trapped in China wire and the stench due to their hanging on trees. When this synthetic/plastic wire (Dyna wire) is used for kite flying, it proves fatal to human lives. Keeping these facts in mind, it is necessary to ban the sale, storage and use of China wire. These orders will remain in effect until August 31, 2025.
